As a Deli Manager at H-E-B, you will be entrusted with the overall management and leadership of the Food Services Department. Job Duties

  • Use independent judgment making employment-related and business decisions including hiring and disciplining
  • Oversee department providing a safe work environment and customer service and controlling shrink and inventory
  • Manage partner morale and retention
  • Monitor department budget and payroll including product, labor, and expenses
  • Order product to maintain inventory
  • Develop and lead retail sales team to provide customer service at the highest level
  • Promote services and products to maximize sales and execute merchandising programs
  • Achieve sales goals, prepare projections and forecasts, review financial tracking, and address budget discrepancies
  • Ensure compliance with government and H-E-B regulations for product freshness, safety, refrigeration, and sanitation
  • Maintain safety and sanitation of equipment and work area
  • Build relationships with customers through partners
  • Perform other duties as needed
