Job Duties
- Plan and prepare food for customers
- make out and check orders received
- clean and organize kitchen to maintain safety
- educate deli clerks on food preparation
- shop for food items for steam table and cases
- inventory kitchen items and ensure proper storage
- perform additional job-related duties as assigned
- manage product pulls and fresh product displays
- ensure employees begin daily tasks
- create employee schedules
- complete paperwork and take inventory
- oversee labor, gross profit, and supply costs
- merchandise department for sales and profit
- verify pricing, tagging, and signage
- ensure all products meet quality standards
- present food appealingly
- organize food items and utensils
- maintain a neat and clean department
- train new employees
- provide friendly and prompt customer service
- respond to customer inquiries and complaints
- perform other related tasks
