Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in a service deli or food service supervisory role preferred
- ability to lift and maneuver objects up to 55 lbs
- ability to bend, stoop, reach, climb ladders occasionally
- ability to push and pull hand trucks, carts and pallet jacks
- good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination
- ability to work nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays
- good attendance record
- knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
- ability to comply with company policies and procedures
- physical ability to perform repetitious arm movements and stand for extended periods
- ability to maintain composure under pressure

Job Duties
- Champion company and division customer service programs to meet or exceed division customer service goals
- handle customer relations positively, including effective resolution of customer complaints
- promote Albertsons philosophy of personalized service in the service deli
- supervise day to day functions of the service deli
- conduct daily inspections of service deli sections and initiate corrective measures to ensure compliance with product quality, rotate products, maintain stock conditions, code date standards, temperature, sanitation and safety requirements
- assist with all service deli duties such as receiving, cleaning, preparing, cooking, slicing and packaging
- implement effective promotional and seasonal displays
- control shrink and expenses
- complete and monitor daily log sheet, purchase report, sales and labor and other required paperwork and logs
- maintain records on ad items movement
- order, check, receive and control inventory to ensure adequate proper inventory level, product quality and freshness and prevent sale of out of code products
- take periodic inventories, process administrative paperwork and maintain accurate department records
- maintain and organize service deli work area, cooler and freezer
- ensure proper merchandising of product by understanding and implementing schematics, merchandising of advertised items, proper signing procedures and monitoring product flow
- comply with retail labeling laws, federal and state regulations and company policies
- follow company policy in handling re-worked and reduced-to-clear items
- comply with all federal, state and local health and food safety standards
- handle customer relations and assist customers with special orders
- make product suggestions and engage in suggestive selling
- make intercom announcements
- ensure cleanliness and sanitation of sales floor, work area, freezer and cooler, equipment, and retail cases
- assist with answering and responding to incoming calls appropriately
- receive and resolve customer complaints and report to Store Director
- assist implementing emergency procedures for equipment and computer malfunctions
- schedule service deli associates to ensure adequate coverage and service levels
- train and instruct associates in proper performance of work duties
- monitor associate performance and report to Store Director
- report associate complaints and assist with resolution
- maintain confidentiality concerning associates, store sales and company information
