Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Food Handlers Certificate (ServSafe or ANSI compliant organization)
- Ability to lift and carry weights up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to perform motions including bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling and reaching
- Ability to work in wet and dry conditions and extreme temperatures
- Ability to use kitchen tools and equipment safely
- Must be 18 years or older
Job Qualifications
- 18 plus years old
- Basic knowledge of Oliver's kitchen recipes
- Basic cooking and grilling skills
- Demonstrates proper food handling and safety procedures
- Team-player who can work independently with minimal supervision
- Clear and effective communication style both written and verbal
- Ability to follow directions and established procedures with attention to detail
- Ability to effectively prioritize competing tasks in a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as needed
- Basic math skills
- Conversational English skills required when working with customers
- Bilingual proficiency preferred
Job Duties
- Complete prep work for various areas of the deli including panini and sandwich prep, packer, prep cook, and salad bar production
- Follow and complete daily production sheets
- Aid with preparation of products according to company specifications and recipes
- Wash, soak, cut, peel and chop ingredients by hand or machine
- Package, weigh and label products using Cry-O-Vac (ROP) when appropriate
- Consistently check and record all food temperatures in proper logs
- Accurately practice FIFO product rotation to minimize and control spoilage and waste
- Organize, rotate and stock workstation and department supplies
- Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment
- Operate equipment such as stoves, fryers, ovens
- Answer phones and pages promptly and courteously
- Follow and comply with established procedures including weights and measures, health and sanitation and safe work practices
- Immediately report safety hazards and violations to supervisors
- Perform opening, mid and closing duties as assigned
- Work all scheduled shifts and attend required trainings and meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
