We are currently seeking a Temporary Summer Deli Floater to join our team during the busy summer months. This seasonal role starts at $19.67 per hour and offers a flexible schedule posted two weeks in advance, allowing for some work-life balance during the summer season. Reporting directly to the Store and Deli Managers, the Temporary Summer Deli Floater will play a vital role in supporting both the front-of-house and back-of-house operations of our deli. The primary responsibility of the Temporary Summer Deli Floater is to ensure that our deli operates efficiently by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and delivering exceptional customer service at the deli counter. Working in a fast-paced setting, this role requires attention to detail, adaptability, and strong communication skills to keep up with changing priorities throughout the shift. You will be responsible for accurately taking and preparing customer orders, providing helpful product information, packaging deli items neatly, and helping to monitor the freshness and proper rotation of products.

In addition to food preparation and customer service tasks, you will be actively involved in maintaining sanitary workspaces by performing dishwashing duties, cleaning equipment, and following all food safety and sanitation procedures. The role also involves collaboration with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth day-to-day operations in the deli. You will assist with stocking deli cases and supplies, support prepared foods operations, and maintain proper labeling and compliance standards to meet health and safety regulations.

This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are at least 18 years old, possess a valid Food Worker Card, and have the flexibility to work varied schedules. The Temporary Summer Deli Floater must also be physically capable of standing for extended periods, lifting and moving items weighing between 40 to 50 pounds occasionally, and performing repetitive tasks such as cutting, packaging, and dishwashing.
