We are currently seeking a Temporary Summer Deli Floater. This full-time seasonal position is designed to support both the front-of-house and back-of-house operations of our deli during the bustling summer months. The role plays a crucial part in maintaining high standards in food preparation, sanitation, and customer engagement. Starting at $19.67 per hour, this role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who appreciate working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while gaining valuable food service experience. Scheduling is flexible and is posted two weeks in advance to fit operational requirements. Reporting to the Store and Deli Managers, the Temporary Summer Deli Floater will seamlessly assist in maintaining workflow efficiency, ensuring every customer receives friendly, accurate, and professional service, and that the deli’s food quality and safety standards are rigorously upheld. Job Duties

  • Provide friendly, responsive service at the deli counter
  • Take and prepare customer orders accurately
  • Answer questions and provide product information
  • Package deli items neatly and professionally
  • Prepare deli items according to established recipes and procedures
  • Assist with assembling hot and cold foods
  • Portion, package, and label products accurately and in compliance with guidelines
  • Monitor freshness and rotate product as needed
  • Perform dishwashing and cleaning of utensils, equipment, and work areas
  • Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary workspaces
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Adapt to changing priorities throughout a shift
  • Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Work collaboratively to support efficient deli operations
  • Support deli and prepared foods operations as needed
  • Assist with stocking deli cases and supplies
  • Maintain proper labeling and compliance standards
