Role Overview: The Deli Dishwasher at Sendik's Food Markets is a critical team member, serving as the backbone of the Deli Department. This role demands meticulous attention to cleanliness, sanitation, and organization to ensure a high standard of food safety and customer satisfaction. The Deli Dishwasher is responsible for the thorough washing of dishes and utensils used by both the Deli and Bakery departments and maintaining a spotless, safe workspace. In addition to dishwashing duties, the individual will assist with cleaning deli equipment such as slicers, energy machines, and the dishwasher itself. This role also includes participation in mentoring new associates, helping build a cohesive and skilled team.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and a passion for delivering excellent customer service. They will contribute to Sendik's trademark culture by engaging with customers using the 10/4 rule – acknowledging customers every 10 feet and maintaining eye contact for 4 seconds. Job Duties

  • Serve customers in the Deli Department while modeling Sendik's culture and providing best in class customer service including greeting engaging delighting and thanking every guest for their business
  • Wash sanitize dry and put away all dishes and utensils
  • Empty and load the dishwasher
  • Clean equipment including dishwasher Grind 2 Energy machine and deli slicers
  • Clean Deli Department including counter tops floors hot/cold bar and deli cases
  • Assist with the training and mentoring of new associates in the Deli Department
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety/sanitation regulations and procedures
  • Assist with all other Deli Department duties as needed
