Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- ability to lift objects up to 30 pounds frequently
- willingness to work in temperature varied environments including freezers and ovens
- reliable attendance and punctuality
- ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- effective communication and customer service skills
- ability to operate deli equipment safely
Job Qualifications
- Work experience in a deli department preferred
- prior experience operating manual and power slicers and scales preferred
- knowledge of deli products preferred
- at least 18 years of age
Job Duties
- Provide a high level of customer service to members
- answer questions and recommend deli items
- answer member calls and take special orders
- slice, package, and weigh deli products including cheeses and meats
- help members select the correct products
- prepare and package special orders and party trays
- receive and inspect deli shipments
- display, stock, rotate, and store deli products following food safety and freshness policies
- ensure all products meet company quality standards and check for out-of-date products daily
- stock and rotate deli items when necessary
- operate deli equipment according to safety policies
- clean and sanitize deli equipment and food surfaces regularly
- ensure scale systems are functional and items are weighed and priced accurately
- maintain all club policies and procedures
- perform other duties as assigned including working in other departments as needed
- maintain regular, predictable, full attendance
