This role is for a Deli Team Member, a key position within the store responsible for slicing, packaging, weighing, and selling various deli products such as meats and cheeses. The deli team member plays a vital role in maintaining an appealing and clean deli display and ensuring the freshness and quality of all products. The individual will also assist customers with product selection, special orders, and party trays, providing friendly and knowledgeable service to enhance the shopping experience. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and the ability to operate deli equipment safely according to company policies.

Physical demands include frequent movement on hard surfaces, occasional bending, reaching, lifting up to 30 pounds, and working in environments with temperature variations such as freezers and ovens.

Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- ability to lift objects up to 30 pounds frequently
- willingness to work in temperature varied environments including freezers and ovens
- reliable attendance and punctuality
- ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- effective communication and customer service skills
- ability to operate deli equipment safely
Job Qualifications
- Work experience in a deli department preferred
- prior experience operating manual and power slicers and scales preferred
- knowledge of deli products preferred
- at least 18 years of age
Job Duties
- Provide a high level of customer service to members
- answer questions and recommend deli items
- answer member calls and take special orders
- slice, package, and weigh deli products including cheeses and meats
- help members select the correct products
- prepare and package special orders and party trays
- receive and inspect deli shipments
- display, stock, rotate, and store deli products following food safety and freshness policies
- ensure all products meet company quality standards and check for out-of-date products daily
- stock and rotate deli items when necessary
- operate deli equipment according to safety policies
- clean and sanitize deli equipment and food surfaces regularly
- ensure scale systems are functional and items are weighed and priced accurately
- maintain all club policies and procedures
- perform other duties as assigned including working in other departments as needed
- maintain regular, predictable, full attendance
