Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to operate manual and power slicers and scales preferred
- Prior deli department work experience preferred
- Ability to adhere to food safety and handling procedures
- Capability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 30 pounds frequently and occasionally more with assistance
- Commitment to maintaining a positive and professional attitude
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Regular, predictable, full attendance
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Able to work in temperature-controlled environments with exposure to cleaning agents
Job Qualifications
- Work experience in a deli department preferred
- Prior experience operating manual and power slicers and scales preferred
- Knowledge of deli products preferred
- At least 18 years of age
Job Duties
- Provide high level of customer service to Members including answering questions and recommending deli items
- Answer member calls and take special orders
- Slice, package, and weigh deli products including cheeses and meats
- Help members select correct products and sample products to assist purchasing decisions
- Prepare and package special orders and party trays
- Receive and inspect deli shipments
- Display, stock, rotate, and store deli products following food safety and product handling policies
- Ensure all products are fresh and meet company quality standards
- Check for out-of-date products daily and follow proper salvage procedures
- Maintain deli cooler shelves and display cases with product variety and stock rotation
- Operate and handle deli equipment safely
- Clean and sanitize deli equipment and food surfaces including ovens and refrigerated cases
- Ensure scale systems are working properly and products are weighed and priced accurately
- Maintain all club policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned including working in other departments
- Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance
- Support club policies and procedures
