The Deli Team Member position at BJ's Wholesale Club is a vital role within the deli department, responsible for slicing, packaging, weighing, and selling various deli products including meats and cheeses. Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- ability to move frequently on hard surfaces
- capability to bend, handle, pull, reach, and stoop as needed
- ability to lift objects up to 30 pounds frequently
- ability to lift and move heavier or awkward objects with assistance
- willingness to work in temperature-variable indoor environments
- compliant with safety and food handling policies
Job Qualifications
- Work experience in a deli department preferred
- prior experience operating manual and power slicers and scales preferred
- knowledge of deli products preferred
- at least 18 years of age
Job Duties
- Slice, package, weigh, and sell deli products including meats and cheeses
- maintain deli display cases and ensure cleanliness
- assist members by answering questions and taking special orders
- receive, inspect, display, stock, and rotate deli shipments
- ensure all products are fresh and meet quality standards
- operate deli equipment safely
- clean and sanitize equipment and food surfaces
- ensure accuracy in weighing and pricing
- maintain club policies and procedures
- perform other duties as assigned
