The role of a Deli Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market is a vital position within the company's professional kitchen environment. The Deli Clerk's responsibilities include operating various deli equipment such as meat and cheese slicers, ovens, microwaves, cutting tools, and scales following company procedures. They fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays, prepare special orders and party trays, and receive and inspect deliveries for accuracy, temperature, and quality. The position requires standing for long periods and lifting items up to 70 pounds. Working in different temperature environments, including cooler and freezer areas, is part of the daily routine. The role also involves taking special orders by phone and maintaining a positive, outgoing attitude when interacting with customers and team members.
