Job Requirements

Prior deli service experience is preferred but willingness to train the right candidate
Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Ability to stand for extended periods
Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
High school diploma or equivalent

Job Qualifications

Prior experience in food service deli operations or retail grocery environments is preferred
Familiarity with food preparation techniques sanitation practices and food safety regulations
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers
Basic math skills for cash handling making change and inventory management
Previous experience working in quick service or fast-food restaurants is a plus

Job Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of deli items including slicing meats and cheeses assembling sandwiches and maintaining product freshness
Operate POS systems accurately for sales transactions including cash handling and credit card processing
Assist customers with selections answer questions about products and provide excellent customer service
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the deli area including food handling and sanitation protocols
Restock shelves organize displays and ensure proper labeling of products
Uphold food safety standards according to health regulations and company policies
Clean work areas as needed to ensure a clean environment
Upsell products by suggesting additional items or promotions to enhance customer experience and sales
