The ideal candidates will have verifiable experience working in a retail deli environment, demonstrating proficiency in the use of deli slicers and knife handling skills. As part of your daily responsibilities, you will assist with receiving varied products, maintain back stock in order, and ensure all deli displays and shelves are attractively stocked and presented. You will be crucial in monitoring the freshness of perishable products while adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation procedures to maintain high standards.

Working hours will include nights, weekends, and some holidays, reflecting the needs of the retail environment. Therefore, candidates must exhibit reliability and punctuality, being able to show up on time for all scheduled shifts. The position requires physical stamina, as duties involve bending, kneeling, squatting, lifting objects up to 50 pounds, and standing for shifts that range between four to eight hours.

In addition to technical deli skills, we expect our Deli Clerks to provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, maintaining a clean personal presentation, and fostering positive interactions. This role also involves the preparation of custom sandwiches and salads, and familiarity with product rotation and proper cooking techniques is beneficial. Candidates should be comfortable reading and following written instructions and asking questions when needed to ensure accuracy and quality.
