Job Requirements

  • verifiable experience using a deli slicer and knife handling skills
  • ability to work nights, weekends and some holidays
  • clean presentation and positive attitude
  • able to bend, kneel, squat, lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs and stand for entire shift 4 to 8 hours
  • patience for excellent customer service
  • punctuality and reliability
  • ability to read and understand written instructions

Job Qualifications

  • prior experience in a retail deli environment
  • verifiable experience using a deli slicer and knife handling skills
  • ability to work nights, weekends and some holidays
  • clean presentation and positive attitude
  • ability to provide excellent customer service
  • familiarity with food safety and sanitation procedures
  • ability to read written instructions and ask questions for clarity

Job Duties

  • assists in the receiving process of varied products and maintains back stock in good order
  • ensures that all shelves and displays are properly stocked and front facing
  • maintains freshness of perishable products and follows food safety/sanitation procedures
  • able to identify deli salads, meats and cheeses
  • experience with custom sandwich and salad preparation
  • knowledge of proper product rotation practices
  • knowledge of proper cooking techniques
