We are currently seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Deli Clerk to join our team at Gil's. This role is available both as a full-time or part-time position, providing flexibility to suit diverse scheduling needs. As a Deli Clerk, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional customer service while preparing and serving food items accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment. Your responsibilities will include greeting customers warmly, preparing deli items such as sandwiches, salads, hot foods, and grab-and-go products, and maintaining a clean and sanitary deli counter and food preparation areas.

The position demands adherence to food safety, handling, and sanitation guidelines, including temperature checks and proper labeling and rotation of products. Equipped with the ability to operate deli equipment safely, such as slicers, ovens, and fryers, you will also ensure shelves and coolers are well-stocked with fresh products throughout your shift. Accurate order taking and transaction handling, monitoring inventory levels, packaging and labeling deli items, and assisting with daily opening and closing duties are all integral parts of this role.
