Currently, The Fountains Resort is seeking a dedicated Deli Clerk for its Market Place. This role is pivotal in ensuring that owners and guests receive friendly and efficient service while enjoying the resort's deli offerings. The ideal candidate for this position is service-oriented, courteous, possesses good numeracy skills, and has a strong understanding of food safety standards. As a Deli Clerk, you will play a key part in preparing and serving deli food and beverages, promoting retail merchandise, and maintaining hygiene and quality standards at all times. This role requires quick, responsive customer service and the ability to greet customers warmly to create a welcoming atmosphere.
In this position, you will be responsible for taking orders accurately and ensuring that the quality of food and service consistently meets exceptional levels. You will also respond promptly to guest requests, contributing to overall client satisfaction. The role calls for a team-first mindset, as you will be expected to assist coworkers with their duties when needed and demonstrate outstanding teamwork.
The position requires a minimum of a high school diploma or GED and at least six months of customer service experience in a food and beverage setting. Candidates should be flexible in work availability, able to work any day of the week and any shift, including weekends and holidays. Additionally, candidates must possess or be able to obtain a current Food Handlers Certification. Advantageous qualifications include prior deli clerk experience, cash handling and food handling skills, alcohol awareness certification, food safety certification, and experience in the resort or hotel hospitality industry. Ideally, candidates have three or more years of food and beverage experience.
