The Deli Bakery Associate position at MDBS is a part-time role with up to 29 hours per week, designed primarily for the closing shift. This role is essential in ensuring smooth deli and bakery operations while maintaining outstanding customer service for military customers. The associate is expected to work until 8 pm and on weekends, aligning with the stores’ operating hours, which range from Sunday 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and from Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

In this role, associates handle a variety of tasks, including slicing deli meats and cheeses to customers’ specifications, preparing custom party trays and sandwiches, and organizing product displays. Maintaining proper sanitation and food handling practices is crucial to ensure the health and safety of customers. Associates must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment, demonstrating teamwork and positive communication at all times. Additionally, duties may extend to cake decorating, baking, rotisserie chicken preparation, and other deli and bakery-related tasks, ensuring variety and opportunities to develop new skills.
