The Deli Bakery Associate role at MDBS is a dynamic part-time position ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting. This position involves a range of responsibilities including slicing deli meats and cheeses to customer specifications, preparing custom party trays and sandwiches, stocking and organizing displays, and assisting with shipments as needed. Associates also play a critical role in maintaining proper sanitation of the department and equipment, ensuring food handling and preparation standards are upheld. Beyond deli duties, the role may extend to bakery tasks such as cake decorating, baking, or rotisserie chicken preparation, providing a diverse workday. The position requires engaging enthusiastically with customers and team members to foster an atmosphere of positive communication and teamwork.

MDBS offers a flexible schedule for its associates, with shifts typically from 2 pm to 7 pm. The role requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk during the entire shift as well as tolerate working in freezer environments for short durations. The company values effective and friendly communication skills, a willingness to cross-train within bakery and deli departments, and prior experience in grocery, food service, or retail is considered a plus.
