The Assistant Manager position at MDBS’s deli and bakery departments is a vital hands-on leadership role. This role involves assisting the Deli/Bakery Manager in directing daily operations, supervising 5-10 employees, and maintaining high standards of customer service in a fast-paced environment. As an assistant manager, the individual will help oversee the department’s food safety and sanitation policies, inventory management, staff scheduling, and training. The role demands excellent organizational skills to manage weekly inventory reports and calculate monthly profits according to company policy. Furthermore, the Assistant Manager will be responsible for fostering a positive work atmosphere by encouraging teamwork and maintaining employee morale.

The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and closing shifts, is essential to meet operational demands.
