This position is for a part-time Food Service Worker in the Deli department at Wegmans located in Columbia, MD. Offering competitive pay between $16.50 to $17.00 per hour, this role seeks enthusiastic and diligent individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for food service. As a Food Service Worker, you will collaborate with team members to ensure that the freshest deli meats and cheeses are readily available for customers. Your responsibilities will include assembling orders by slicing, packaging, and labeling products, maintaining clean and well-stocked deli cases, assisting customers with their selections, and efficiently managing inventory by unloading deliveries and rotating stock to ensure freshness. This role is vital to creating an inviting shopping experience by combining excellent customer service with attention to product quality and presentation. The schedule is flexible, covering morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, including weekends, making it ideal for candidates seeking versatility in their work hours. This position also requires that applicants be at least 18 years or older and have a positive attitude towards teamwork and customer engagement.

Job Duties

Complete customer orders by slicing, packaging and labeling products
Provide incredible service and answer customer questions in a timely manner
Ensure fresh and appealing deli cases and self-service cases by keeping them cleaned and well-stocked
Unload and break down daily deliveries, stock cases, displays and backroom coolers with new and existing products/inventory
Refill and rotate stock for freshness
