Job Description

Albertsons Companies Inc. is a leading grocery company headquartered in the United States, widely recognized for delivering exceptional shopping experiences through their diverse range of high-quality food products and customer-centric services. As a major player in the retail grocery industry, Albertsons has built a reputation for fostering a welcoming atmosphere where both customers and employees feel valued and respected. The company prides itself on a people-oriented business philosophy that emphasizes thoughtful people practices, diversity, inclusion, and community engagement. By providing flexible work schedules, competitive wages, and comprehensive benefits, Albertsons nurtures a workforce that is committed not only to the brand’s success but also to creating meaningful connections with their customers and communities.

Joining Albertsons as a Deli Associate means becoming part of a dynamic team that focuses on delivering excellence in food preparation, customer service, and teamwork. This role is perfect for individuals who take pride in their work, no matter how big or small, and who are passionate about food and community. The Deli Associate is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of deli products including meats, cheeses, salads, sandwiches, dips, and gourmet as well as hot case food items. Each day presents new opportunities to utilize various tools such as meat and cheese slicers, food scales, fryers, ovens, and cash registers, which keeps the role engaging and varied.

A typical day as a Deli Associate involves crafting delicious food items that entice customers to come back repeatedly. Beyond food preparation, associates play a vital role in creating memorable experiences for guests by providing exceptional customer service that is both warm and efficient. They are encouraged to bring smiles and positive energy to each interaction, which fosters a friendly environment that enhances the shopping experience. As a member of the Albertsons family, Deli Associates are not only highly trained on product knowledge but also inspired to embody the company’s core values—putting people first, being customer-driven, valuing different perspectives, raising the bar, acting as owners, functioning as one team, building belonging, and committing to a healthy future.

Albertsons is committed to employee growth and development, meaning Deli Associates have access to leaders who invest in their training and career advancement. The company offers a wide array of health and welfare benefits for eligible employees, including medical, dental, and 401(k) plans. Paid time off and vacation time are included to ensure associates maintain a healthy work-life balance.
