The role of Deli Team Member at Parkhurst Dining offers an exciting opportunity to join this enduring legacy and be part of a fun, supportive team atmosphere. Working Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, this position emphasizes collaboration, quality, and excellent guest interaction. The Deli Team Member is responsible for preparing deli items to order promptly, ensuring the service line is properly set up and maintained according to the instructions of the Executive Chef or Manager on duty. This includes garnishing the line and consistently checking the quality of the food items to ensure they meet the standards of taste, appearance, and temperature. Adhering to the Smile Plus Hospitality Imperatives, the team member will interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, enhancing the overall dining experience. Additional responsibilities include posting necessary signage and merchandising the service area to maintain an inviting atmosphere.

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and/or walk 100% of time
  • Occasionally lift up to 40 lbs

  • Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in food service or hospitality is a plus

Job Duties

  • Prepare all deli items to order and in a timely manner
  • Prepare service line for operation as instructed by Executive Chef and/or Manager on duty
  • Garnish the line properly at all times
  • Check quality of food items ensuring standards of taste, appearance, and correct temperature
  • Report any substandard quality to the Executive Chef and/or Manager on duty
  • Interact with guests in a friendly, professional manner following Smile Plus Hospitality Imperatives
  • Post all necessary signage and merchandise service area
