The Delivery Driver role at Colonial Materials, Inc. is a crucial position responsible for safely operating commercial motor vehicles to deliver building materials to job sites. This role demands strict adherence to federal and state transportation regulations, ensuring that all freight is delivered on time and undamaged. Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
  • Minimum Class B License, Class A strongly preferred
  • Clear three (3) year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
  • Overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations
  • Ability to lift heavy building materials up to 80 lbs.
  • Ability to remain stationary while driving 40% of the time
  • Ability to work in outside environments
  • Ability to communicate clearly with management and coworkers
  • Ability to prioritize job sites and deadlines
  • Ability to multitask and manage stress
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgement

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Inspect truck and trailer for defects for safe operation
  • Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck and unload products at commercial and residential job sites
  • Deliver materials to assigned area as directed by the customer while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of those around you
  • Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations
  • Report all accidents involving driver or company equipment
  • Lift heavy building materials up to 100 lbs. for load/unload
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude
