The current opening is for a Dishwasher, a vital position within the Flanigan's team. This role is essential in ensuring that all plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils are cleaned and sanitized thoroughly according to company policies. The Dishwasher helps keep both dining and kitchen areas sparkling clean and organized. This position is physical in nature, requiring the ability to stand or walk throughout the shift, lift heavy items, and work in environments that can be damp and hot. The Dishwasher also performs prep work and opening and closing duties, contributing to the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a similar role preferred
  • ability to stand and walk 100 percent of shift
  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
  • ability to work in damp and hot environments
  • willingness to follow safety and sanitation protocols
  • good communication skills
  • teamwork oriented
  • ability to pass food safety certification
  • flexibility to work assigned shifts

Job Qualifications

  • can physically stand or walk 100 percent of shift
  • can reach, bend, stoop
  • can immerse hands in water frequently, diluted with chemical solutions
  • ability to speak, read and write English
  • able to lift up to 50 lbs several times per shift and lift heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers
  • work in damp, high temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors
  • work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
  • work safely with sharp knives and utensils
  • support fellow employees as needed
  • complete and pass food safety certification program in compliance with Flanigan's and Florida statutes

Job Duties

  • follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
  • wash and provide clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan's sanitation policies
  • clean and sanitize throughout shift
  • maintain kitchen area cleanliness including sweeping, mopping, and removing debris from floor
  • perform assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, beautification duties
  • prepare and maintain dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing
