The role of Dedicated Store Visual Merchandiser at the Knoxville, TN House of Sport store in West Town Mall is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about visual design and retail merchandising. This position plays a critical role in enhancing the customer shopping experience by ensuring that the store's visual presentation aligns with brand strategies and merchandising game plans. The Visual Merchandiser works closely with the store team and the Field Visual Merchandiser to create inspiring, on-brand displays that attract customers and drive sales. The role involves hands-on merchandising adjustments based on factors like store layout, inventory levels, product trends, and customer preferences.

Responsibilities include maintaining visual merchandising excellence through creative and strategic display setups, overseeing mannequins, forms, displays, and strikepoints to ensure a compelling and dynamic shopping environment. The Visual Merchandiser employs a thorough understanding of style trends, seasonality, and the latest market developments to maximize the presentation and sales potential of the store's product assortment. Beyond daily merchandising tasks, this role entails conducting weekly store tours focusing on visual priorities, partnering on strategic game plan implementations, and making data-driven commercial decisions to positively influence store KPIs such as sales, margin, and inventory turns.

Candidates in this role must embody DICK'S commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and be able to engage with the store team collaboratively. The role is well-suited to individuals with a background in Business Management, Retail Management, or Visual Merchandising, and a minimum of one to three years of related experience, particularly in softlines merchandising. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills are essential for managing multiple projects and effectively addressing merchandising challenges. Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree in business management, retail management or visual merchandising
  • 1-3 years experience in visual merchandising preferably in softlines

  • supports store team with major gameplan sets by understanding merchandising strategies and ensure game plan integrity
  • partners with store team on solving new merchandising opportunities as product arrives
  • remerchandises product to maximize sales and reacts to trends, weather and inventory levels
  • maintains and presents visual displays in a compelling and exciting manner in accordance with company directives
