Job Description

R & J Trucking, Inc. is a family-owned trucking company with a remarkable legacy of over 65 years in the transportation industry. Known for operating late model and well-maintained equipment, the company prioritizes safety by equipping its fleet with state-of-the-art safety features. R & J Trucking has earned a solid reputation for reliability, professionalism, and commitment to employee well-being, making it a preferred employer in the trucking sector. The company offers a supportive work environment with an open-door policy for management and ownership, facilitating direct communication and fostering a collaborative culture. With an extensive terminal network, on-site maintenance shops, and fuel islands, R & J Trucking ensures its drivers and equipment receive top-notch support for optimal performance.

The role of Dedicated Local Class A CDL Driver at R & J Trucking is designed for individuals seeking steady, home-daily work while operating in a well-structured and supportive setting. Drivers in this position will be assigned dedicated runs based on their residential location, with options including Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) hauls and End Dump work. One significant advantage of the MSW assignments is the drop and hook system, which eliminates the need for drivers to enter landfills, enhancing safety and efficiency. These routes provide drivers with a consistent and familiar schedule, allowing for a better work-life balance and the comfort of being home every night.

Compensation for this position is highly competitive, with drivers typically earning between $1,350 and $1,600 per week, dependent on attendance and individual performance. Pay structures are based on an industry-leading percentage of the linehaul, with additional bonuses for seniority and weekly performance goals. The company ensures timely payment through weekly direct deposit schedules, supporting employees' financial well-being.

R & J Trucking places a strong emphasis on employee benefits that kick in after just 60 days of employment, highlighting its commitment to long-term driver satisfaction and retention. Benefits include a 401-K plan with company matching, paid vacations, paid orientation and training programs, and various insurance options such as medical, dental, vision, disability, and company-paid life insurance. Drivers also benefit from company-provided safety equipment, enhancing on-the-job protection. With dedicated dispatchers and 24/7 staffing, drivers have continuous access to support and assistance while on the road or at terminals.

Additional perks include home truck parking upon authorization, paid deadhead and detention when incurred, toll and scale pre-pass facilitation, and potential for holiday or weekend pay based on drivers' discretion. The company’s use of late model tractors and lightweight trailers increases payload capacities per load, allowing drivers to maximize their earnings efficiently. Joining R & J Trucking means becoming part of a trusted organization that values safety, performance, and employee well-being in a family-friendly work environment, offering long-term career opportunities for dedicated professional truck drivers.
