Job Description
The hiring company is a reputable transportation and logistics firm specializing in dedicated account deliveries, particularly focusing on all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) to various dealerships. This company values safety, reliability, and professionalism, making it a preferred employer in the trucking industry with a commitment to providing excellent working conditions and competitive compensation. As a part of this company, drivers have the opportunity to work with a dedicated account that offers consistent routes, ensuring steady income and job security. They emphasize the importance of experience and driving record to maintain high standards and customer satisfaction across all deliveries.
This position is designed for Class A drivers with a minimum of one year of recent Class A driving experience, specifically within the last five years, and at least six months of that experience being in the last 24 months. Drivers employed in this role will earn a competitive salary estimated between $90,000 and $100,000 annually. Additionally, the company offers a sign-on bonus of $6,000, distributed in stages to reward initial and ongoing performance and tenure. Compensation is further supplemented with a per-mile pay rate ranging from $0.58 to $0.60 and additional fees for each load and securement of ATVs. This role requires both driving and hands-on responsibilities, including setting up ramps, offloading ATVs at dealerships, and securing the loads properly.
Delivery schedules generally occur during regular business hours, but flexibility is sometimes needed for later deliveries. Drivers typically run for 14 to 21 days consecutively, followed by 3 to 4 days off, allowing for work-life balance. Unique benefits include the ability to take the truck home, which provides flexibility and convenience. Drivers are also welcome to bring pets from the first day, provided the pet rider is at least 12 years old.
In this role, top-performing drivers average about 2,770 miles per week, while the overall fleet average is approximately 2,665 miles per week, indicating a fast-paced and efficient working environment. Drivers will benefit from medical, dental, and paid time off that starts on the first day of the month following 30 days of employment, with a 401K plan option available immediately, encouraging long-term financial planning and stability. The company prides itself on low turnover rates, reflecting employee satisfaction and strong management support, making this an excellent career choice for experienced Class A drivers seeking a steady and rewarding position.
Overall, this opportunity is ideal for professional drivers who meet the strict safety and experience criteria and desire a comprehensive benefits package alongside a dependable income in a supportive corporate culture.
