Deckhand, Inland - Starting Pay: $210/day

This role is for an Inland Deckhand within the Marine Services division. The Inland Deckhand position is vital for the safe, prudent, and efficient operation of marine vessels. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the captain or other officers on board, performing a variety of important vessel-based operations. Key responsibilities include general housekeeping and maintenance tasks such as cooking, sweeping, mopping, painting, and repairing equipment. The Inland Deckhand will operate portable pumps, manage rigging and lines, assist in shifting, dropping, or picking up barges, and monitor the tow. Communication support for navigation via radio during lock pass-throughs or bridge crossings is also necessary.

Additional duties involve assisting in bulk liquid transfers, handling lines during lock passages, safely casting off lines when departing, and assisting with vessel navigation from the deck. Driving company crew trucks for crew changes and delivery of supplies to vessels is also required. This position demands physical stamina, good communication skills, flexibility in working schedules, and the ability to work in various weather conditions on water and in confined spaces.
