Job Requirements

  • willingness to work in various facility environments including athletic and childcare areas
  • ability to operate cleaning equipment

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as cleaning standards, operating instructions, and Material Safety Data Sheets
  • ability to communicate effectively with groups of customers or employees
  • ability to use proper grammar and pronunciation
  • basic mathematical skills including add, subtract, multiply and divide
  • ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions
  • ability to interpret technical instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables
  • physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • Ensure that the building and grounds are kept clean and sanitary in accordance with established cleaning standards
  • perform any service to maintain the comfort, cleanliness, and wellbeing of members or guests
  • operate cleaning equipment including floor scrubbers, buffers, and vacuums
  • follow safety protocols including handling of cleaning chemicals as per MSDS
  • assist in routine maintenance duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities Management
  • communicate effectively with members, guests, and staff to resolve cleanliness related issues
  • lift and move objects up to 50 pounds as required
