The Day Porter role at CCS Facility Services specifically targets individuals who will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderly condition of common areas across office buildings, apartment complexes, or other institutional and commercial properties. This position is essential to ensuring that all shared spaces, including lobbies, elevators, stairwells, and exterior building areas, are kept inviting and safe for tenants, visitors, and staff. The Day Porter performs a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties such as spot cleaning glass doors, polishing chrome fixtures, vacuuming and dust mopping floors, and emptying trash receptacles. This role also involves inspecting the building exterior for debris, cleaning ashtrays, restocking and checking restrooms, and reporting any maintenance issues such as lights out or solicitors directly to property management. In addition to routine cleaning tasks, this role often supports building engineers and may be involved in addressing high-traffic area maintenance during peak times.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Previous janitorial or maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
- Good attendance and punctuality

Job Duties
- Spot clean the lobby glass doors
- Polish chrome on lobby doors
- Vacuum elevator cabs and wipe cab doors, walls, and tops twice a day
- Inspect the building exterior and pick up any trash
- Clean ashtrays and sand urns on every floor
- Empty and clean exterior trash receptacles
- Check restrooms twice daily
- Vacuum lobby once a day or as needed
- Sweep stairwells and landings as needed
- Remove all debris from landscaped areas as needed
- Sweep building entrances
- Clean and remove smudges and marks on walls, doors, and wall covering
- Report any lights out (exit, directory boards, etc.) to the Management Office
- Report any solicitors to the Management Office
- Police lobby to keep floors and planters free of paper, debris, etc., especially during high-traffic times
- Empty all trash receptacles
- Vacuum carpeted floors
- Dust mop lobby floors twice daily
- Polish elevator cab railings and doors and main lobby call buttons
- Assist building engineer daily per management discretion
