Job Description

Bradley Company is a respected commercial real estate firm with a legacy dating back to 1978. With a team of over 300 dedicated professionals, they operate across Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio, offering brokerage, property management, and facility maintenance services specifically tailored to commercial and multi-family clients. Their extensive experience and deep roots in the industry make them a leader in the regional commercial real estate market. The company culture is defined by its core values: entrepreneurial spirit, collaborative work, integrity, and championing for clients and communities. Bradley Company’s mission centers on building lasting partnerships, improving communities, and transforming lives, reflecting their commitment to exceptional service and community impact.

The role of Dayporter at Bradley Company focuses on maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of the property. This position involves keeping the grounds and common areas clean, safe, and well-maintained while collaborating closely with the maintenance team. The Dayporter provides vital assistance in daily upkeep, light maintenance, and various rehab projects. These responsibilities ensure the property remains attractive and livable, reflecting strong curb appeal and meeting high-quality living standards for residents. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Eastern Time, and the position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. Located at the LaSalle Park Homes and William C. Ellison communities in South Bend, Indiana, this role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on tasks and wants to be an essential part of the property management ecosystem.

As part of the team, the Dayporter plays an instrumental role in grounds and exterior care, including litter removal, sweeping sidewalks, and supporting seasonal landscaping duties like hedge trimming and snow removal. The role also requires maintaining common areas such as lobbies, hallways, laundry rooms, and community spaces by cleaning, monitoring lighting, and supporting trash removal duties. Maintenance support includes performing small repairs, assisting with painting, and helping prepare units for new tenants. Safety is paramount, with an emphasis on following OSHA regulations, reporting hazards, and using personal protective equipment when operating tools or equipment. The Dayporter must demonstrate strong independence while staying flexible to shifting priorities, working collaboratively to contribute to the property maintenance team’s overall success.

Those who join Bradley Company as Dayporters benefit from a supportive and dependable team environment that values collaboration and professional growth. This role provides excellent opportunities to develop practical skills in property upkeep and light maintenance while directly influencing the quality of life for residents in a welcoming community setting.
