Job Description

BiRite Foodservice Distributors is a well-established, third generation family-owned company that provides a complete foodservice solution. Operating since 1966, BiRite has built a strong reputation in the greater Bay Area and Sacramento region by focusing on delivering unsurpassed service across all areas of foodservice. The company remains dedicated to supporting its community with high-quality products, timely deliveries, and competitive pricing, making it a trusted partner for numerous foodservice providers. As a family-run business, BiRite values tradition, commitment, and excellence in service, striving to maintain its standing as the best foodservice partner in the Bay Area.

The Day Warehouse Worker role is a key position within BiRite’s distribution operations. This full-time, nonexempt position based in Brisbane, CA, offers an hourly wage starting at $22 per hour depending on experience. The Day Warehouse Worker plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of inventory within the warehouse by performing a variety of daily tasks such as restocking shelves, accepting deliveries, processing and packing orders, counting inventory, and facilitating timely shipments. Reporting directly to the Day Warehouse Manager, the worker will be responsible for organizing stock efficiently, properly packing and labeling items to safeguard their condition during shipment, and maintaining accurate verification of incoming shipments by comparing invoices to orders.

Working in a moderately noisy and potentially cold warehouse environment, the Day Warehouse Worker must be physically prepared to handle up to 8 hours of walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing movements like bending, stooping, or squatting. The role demands good listening and communication skills, punctuality, and the ability to follow written instructions carefully. Preferred experience includes forklift and pallet jack operation, along with prior warehouse experience. BiRite offers a supportive work environment where safety and attention to detail are prioritized.

In return for their commitment, employees are eligible for a generous benefits package after a 60-day introductory period. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, health savings and flexible spending accounts, employee assistance programs, matched 401(k) plans, paid time off and holidays, and employee anniversary bonuses at five-year increments. Additional life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance options are also available. The work schedule typically runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with potential overtime based on operational needs.

This position is perfect for motivated individuals seeking stable employment in a family-oriented company that values hard work, reliability, and a team-focused culture. BiRite Foodservice Distributors stands as an equal opportunity employer, welcoming applications from qualified candidates of diverse backgrounds. Those interested in contributing to an essential part of the foodservice supply chain and growing with a respected industry leader will find this role rewarding and challenging.
