Scooter's Coffee is actively looking for dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join their energetic and passionate team. This position is that of a Barista, an integral role within the Scooter's Coffee franchise family. The Barista's primary responsibility is to ensure that the mission, principles, and touchstones of Scooter's Coffee are not only upheld but embraced and modeled in every customer interaction and behind-the-counter task. This role is suited for individuals who have a positive attitude, passion for the food and beverage industry, and enjoy engaging with people from all walks of life.

As a Barista at Scooter's Coffee, you will serve as the face of the company, crafting specialty coffee and tea beverages with precision and care according to established recipes and presentation standards. The role demands a strong customer service orientation, with the ability to interact warmly and professionally with both new and returning customers, ensuring each visit is a memorable experience. Understanding and applying effective up-selling techniques are also part of the daily responsibilities to maximize customer satisfaction and company sales.

Equally important is maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitized workspace that complies with all health and safety guidelines. The Barista assists in fostering a team environment that supports all members and strives to deliver excellent service efficiently in a fast-paced setting. This job requires flexibility, both in schedule and approach, to meet the dynamic demands of the coffee shop business. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 15 years old
  • 1+ years of customer service experience preferred
  • must be able to deal professionally and tactfully with customers and co-workers at all times
  • must have good interpersonal communication skills
  • must work efficiently in a quick-paced environment requiring multi-tasking and prioritization
  • must be able to work a flexible schedule
  • must be punctual, dependable and reliable
  • must be able to contribute to a positive team environment
  • most physical exertion is in the low range requiring exertion of less than 5 pounds of force fairly regularly
  • may occasionally require exertion of up to 25 pounds
  • job includes major amounts of reaching, standing, walking, talking and hearing
  • must have sufficient visual acuity to determine accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work assigned to employees and to make general inspections of the work area
  • environmental conditions include a mild to moderate noise level
