The role available is for a Day Porter responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in commercial properties. The ideal candidate will consistently meet quality and timeliness standards while upholding the company’s mission and values. The Day Porter plays a critical role in ensuring a welcoming and clean environment by performing various cleaning and maintenance duties throughout the facility. This includes duties such as cleaning entrances, restocking restrooms, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and mopping floors, as well as reporting maintenance issues and lost and found items to supervisors.

The position requires physical activity such as standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, reaching, and occasional climbing. Job Duties

  • Maintain a high standard of excellence
  • Clean main entrance glass
  • Empty and replace liners on all exterior trash receptacles
  • Police restrooms restocking products such as soap, towels, tissue, and deodorizers as needed
  • Dust mullions and exterior windowsills
  • Dust mop main lobby floor
  • Dust light fixtures and metal work in lobby
  • Check common areas and clean interior of elevator cabs
  • Walk/police interior or exterior stairwells
  • Pour water down drains in all restrooms
  • Vacuum
  • Dust mop/sweep hard surface floors
  • Wet mop hard surface floors
  • Report unit maintenance issues as per company procedure
  • Report damaged, dirty, or stained carpets, drapes, furniture, and linens
  • Report inventory and supplies to Supervisor
  • Report lost and found items to Supervisor/Manager
  • Assist in maintaining storage closets clean and organized
  • Ensure a safe working environment at each site and office
  • Utilize supplies and equipment efficiently and effectively
  • Utilize time wisely and efficiently
