This particular job opening is for a Day Porter position responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and order of common areas within office buildings, apartment complexes, and other commercial or institutional properties. The Day Porter will play a crucial role in ensuring that these areas remain inviting and well-kept throughout the day. The role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks such as spot cleaning glass doors, polishing chrome, vacuuming elevators, sweep stairwells, emptying trash receptacles, and cleaning restrooms regularly twice daily. The Day Porter must also inspect the building exterior for trash and debris and maintain the cleanliness of landscaped areas.

Beyond the physical cleaning duties, the Day Porter will assist the building engineer as needed, monitor and report any maintenance issues like burnt-out lights or solicitors, and ensure high-traffic areas remain free of litter.
