This position, the Day Porter Custodian, is a critical role within the facilities management team. The Day Porter is responsible for cleaning and maintaining various facility areas, ensuring they meet high standards of cleanliness and hygiene according to industry norms. The role operates Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, for a total of 40 hours per week, with a pay rate of $15.00 per hour. The Day Porter will clean approximately 4,500 to 5,000 square feet within an hour, which may vary by location, and perform a comprehensive list of custodial tasks including routine cleaning of offices, lobbies, restrooms, elevators, stairways, and more. The role requires working with cleaning equipment and supplies safely and efficiently, adhering to safety protocols, reporting hazards, and maintaining security of custodial closets and equipment.

Physically, the position demands significant bending, lifting, pulling, pushing, kneeling, walking, standing, and reaching activities during the work shift, with weight limits up to 50 pounds for lifting and 30 pounds for carrying.
