This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of common areas within office buildings, apartment houses, or other commercial and institutional buildings. A day porter performs various cleaning and maintenance duties to ensure that these spaces remain orderly, welcoming, and hygienic throughout the day. This position involves a schedule of Monday to Wednesday from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM or Thursday to Saturday from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM. CCS understands the importance of supporting its employees and even offers DailyPay, which enables staff to access their earnings on the same day, providing financial flexibility and convenience. Additionally, the company requires a fingerprint card for employment but will sponsor candidates who do not yet have one, demonstrating a commitment to making the hiring process inclusive and accessible.\n\nThe day porter’s responsibilities include a variety of tasks such as cleaning lobby glass doors and chrome, vacuuming elevator cabs, emptying trash receptacles, maintaining restrooms, sweeping stairwells, and ensuring exterior areas are free of debris. Vigilance and attention to detail are key, with regular inspections of the building exterior, reporting any light outages or suspicious activity, and assisting building engineers as needed. Job Qualifications

- physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Job Duties
- spot clean the lobby glass doors
- polish chrome on lobby doors
- vacuum elevator cabs and wipe cab doors, walls, and tops twice a day
- inspect the building exterior and pick up any trash
- clean ashtrays and sand urns on every floor
- empty and clean exterior trash receptacles
- check restrooms twice daily
- vacuum lobby once a day or as needed
- sweep stairwells and landings as needed
- remove all debris from landscaped areas as needed
- sweep building entrances
- clean and remove smudges and marks on walls, doors, and wall covering
- report any lights out to the management office
- report any solicitors to the management office
- police lobby to keep floors and planters free of paper and debris
- vacuum carpeted floors
- dust mop lobby floors twice daily
- polish elevator cab railings and doors and main lobby call buttons
- assist building engineer daily per management discretion
