We are currently seeking a dependable and energetic Day Porter to maintain the cleanliness and overall upkeep of our facilities. The Day Porter will play a vital role in ensuring that the environment remains welcoming and safe for employees, visitors, and clients. As a Day Porter, your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of cleaning and maintenance tasks, from sweeping and mopping floors to restocking restrooms and managing waste disposal. You will also help with minor repairs, assist in event setups, and ensure that the premises are secure after hours.

This role requires someone with basic knowledge of cleaning products and procedures, strong time management skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You will need to handle equipment safely and efficiently and maintain appropriate stock levels of cleaning supplies. The position reports to facility supervisors but demands a high degree of autonomy and initiative to complete tasks timely and to the highest standards. The Day Porter position primarily involves tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, cleaning and restocking restrooms, emptying trash and recycling bins, removing debris, and even snow from sidewalks as needed. Security duties like locking doors after hours and spill cleanup using proper equipment are also essential components of the job. Additionally, the role requires communication with supervisors concerning major repairs, working collaboratively with contract cleaning services, and assisting with event logistics. This diverse array of duties makes the Day Porter role critical in supporting the smooth operation of company facilities.
