The Day Porter position at CCS Facility Services is an essential role responsible for maintaining common areas in office buildings, apartment complexes, and other commercial or institutional properties. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to safety and customer service. The Day Porter is expected to perform a wide range of cleaning and maintenance duties that help create a positive and inviting atmosphere for building occupants and visitors alike.
Key responsibilities include spot cleaning lobby glass and chrome fixtures, vacuuming elevator cabs, sweeping stairwells, managing trash receptacles, and conducting routine inspections of building exteriors and restrooms. This position requires working independently and reporting any maintenance or safety concerns to management promptly. - previous experience in janitorial or cleaning services preferred
- ability to work flexible hours including early mornings and occasional weekends

Job Duties
- Spot cleaning lobby glass doors and polishing chrome on lobby doors
- vacuuming elevator cabs and wiping cab doors, walls, and tops twice daily
- inspecting the building exterior and picking up any trash
- cleaning ashtrays and sand urns on every floor
- emptying and cleaning exterior trash receptacles
- checking restrooms twice daily
- vacuuming lobby once a day or as needed
- sweeping stairwells and landings as needed
- removing debris from landscaped areas as needed
- sweeping building entrances
- cleaning and removing smudges and marks on walls, doors, and wall covering
- reporting any lights out (exit, directory boards, etc.) to the Management Office
- reporting any solicitors to the Management Office
- policing lobby to keep floors and planters free of paper and debris during high-traffic times each day
- emptying all trash receptacles
- vacuuming carpeted floors
- dust mopping lobby floors twice daily
- polishing elevator cab railings and doors and main lobby call buttons
- assisting the building engineer daily per Management discretion
