The Day Porter role at Velociti Services is an integral position within the frontline operations team. This role focuses on a variety of standard custodial duties including mopping, dusting, vacuuming, wiping, and waste removal, with the goal of maintaining clean and orderly workspaces and public areas. Employees in this role are expected to comply with all safety rules, policies, and procedures and to work cohesively with their team to ensure the completion of cleaning tasks efficiently and to the company’s standards. The Day Porter will also support their shift lead by helping to complete punch-list items and fill in for absent staff during shortages.

Success in the Day Porter position requires strict adherence to safety guidelines, understanding and executing custodial procedures, and communicating professionally with supervisors, co-workers, and clients. The role demands physical stamina and the ability to perform cleaning duties that involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
