The role of the Porter at Harvard Maintenance is a vital position aimed at maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall upkeep of public and operational spaces within buildings serviced by the company. As a Porter, you will be responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for tenants, employees, and visitors alike. This includes daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and emptying trash receptacles, along with restocking restroom supplies and wiping down high-touch surfaces like doors and windows. The Porter also plays a key role in responding promptly to spills, messes, and tenant requests, showcasing a commitment to customer service and attention to detail. In addition to these cleaning duties, Porters may assist in moving furniture, setting up meeting spaces, and supporting special events, further demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.

Job Duties
- Maintain cleanliness of lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, and other common areas
- sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust as needed to ensure all areas are tidy and presentable
- empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- restock restroom supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
- wipe down doors, windows, and other high-touch surfaces
- respond promptly to spills, messes, and tenant requests
- assist with moving furniture, setting up meeting spaces, or supporting special events
- report any maintenance or safety issues to management
- ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are kept in good condition
- follow all safety and cleaning protocols
