This position is for a Day Porter within the Human Services sector, primarily responsible for custodial duties across facilities typically covering approximately 4,500 to 5,000 square feet to be cleaned within an hour. The Day Porter plays a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of office areas, lounges, restrooms, corridors, stairways, and other designated areas by performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces. The role demands the use of safety measures including PPE and proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure adherence to safety standards. The successful candidate will be expected to replenish restroom supplies, manage waste disposal effectively, use specialized cleaning tools like safety poles for high dusting, and maintain high service standards throughout their work. Punctuality, proper work attire including company uniform, badge, and black safety shoes are mandatory. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to perform duties that involve bending, lifting, kneeling, reaching overhead, and standing for prolonged periods.
