This job opening is for a Day Porter position located in Buckeye. The role of the Day Porter is crucial for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of common areas within office buildings, apartment complexes, and other commercial or institutional facilities. This role requires an individual dedicated to providing exceptional janitorial support through a variety of tasks such as spot cleaning, polishing, vacuuming, sweeping, waste removal, and general tidying. The Day Porter will be responsible for areas including lobbies, elevator cabs, stairwells, restrooms, and exterior grounds. Regular inspection of these areas ensures a welcoming and sanitary environment for occupants and visitors. This position demands attention to detail, dependability, and a proactive attitude to identify and correct cleanliness issues before they escalate.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous janitorial or building maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Ability to lift moderate weights
- Willingness to follow safety and security procedures
- Reliable transportation to the job site
Job Qualifications

- Physical ability to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks
Job Duties
- Spot clean the lobby glass doors
- Polish chrome on lobby doors
- Vacuum elevator cabs and wipe cab doors, walls, and tops twice a day
- Inspect the building exterior and pick up any trash
- Clean ashtrays and sand urns on every floor
- Empty and clean exterior trash receptacles
- Check restrooms twice daily
- Vacuum lobby once a day or as needed
- Sweep stairwells and landings as needed
- Remove all debris from landscaped areas as needed
- Sweep building entrances
- Clean and remove smudges and marks on walls, doors, and wall covering
- Report any lights out (exit, directory boards, etc.) to the Management Office
- Report any solicitors to the Management Office
- Police lobby to keep floors and planters free of paper, debris, etc.
- Vacuum carpeted floors
- Dust mop lobby floors twice daily
- Polish elevator cab railings and doors and main lobby call buttons
- Assist building Engineer daily per Management discretion
