Day Porter (Downtown Museum)

We are hiring a dedicated and dependable Day Porter to join our team at a prominent downtown museum. This museum is renowned for its rich cultural exhibits and vibrant community engagement, making it a hub for visitors and events throughout the year. As a key member of our facilities team, the Day Porter plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall readiness of the museum environment. The Day Porter position is structured for individuals who enjoy physical activity and variety in their work routine. Scheduled from Thursday through Monday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, this role allows for Tuesdays and Wednesdays off, providing a balanced workweek. The successful candidate will be involved in several critical tasks including setting up and breaking down event spaces, performing general cleaning duties, and ensuring the interior and exterior areas remain safe and inviting for visitors and staff alike.

Beyond routine cleaning, the role includes seasonal responsibilities such as assisting with snow removal during winter months, highlighting the importance of adaptability and readiness to support the museum in all seasons. The Day Porter will also operate specialized equipment like power washers, contributing to maintaining the high standards for the facility’s appearance.
