This full-time position, titled Day Porter - Building Services/Cleaning Attendant, offers a rewarding opportunity to become an integral part of VRI's client support team dedicated to the American Heart Association. The role involves working Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, providing custodial services during business hours. The Day Porter will carry out essential cleaning, maintenance, and customer service duties to maintain the professional appearance and functionality of the client's corporate facilities.
The ideal candidate is reliable, proactive, and possesses a positive and friendly demeanor. They will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of lobbies, hallways, restrooms, break rooms, and conference areas throughout the day. This includes ensuring common areas are tidy, supplies like soap and paper towels are adequately stocked, and minor maintenance issues such as replacing light bulbs or reporting larger problems to facilities management are addressed promptly. The Day Porter must be efficient in completing tasks while maintaining approachability for visitors and staff alike.
Additional responsibilities include emptying trash bins and recycling containers regularly, cleaning up spills, responding to minor emergencies (such as leaks or messes), and assisting with meeting room setups and breakdowns. The role also requires ensuring entrances and high-traffic areas remain clean and presentable, providing courteous customer service, and collaborating with janitorial and maintenance teams on larger tasks. Safety is a top priority, and the Day Porter is expected to act as an ambassador for safety within the facility.
