Day Porter ( Bilingual Preferred)

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Bilingual Day Porter to join our team at one of the buildings under our management in northwest Austin. This role is crucial in ensuring that building premises are kept in pristine condition during operational hours. The Day Porter will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentability of the building’s lobbies, restrooms, common areas, and other facilities. This position requires a proactive individual who can effectively respond to unexpected incidents such as spills or hazards to ensure occupant safety. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 7am to 4pm or 8am to 5pm, with a competitive hourly wage of $18.50.

The Day Porter will conduct routine and touch-point cleaning to help minimize the spread of illness by eliminating bacteria and germs from frequently used surfaces. Additionally, this role involves restocking supplies, servicing kitchen and break areas before and after busy periods, and addressing any safety hazards such as wet floors or litter in parking lots and entrances. The ideal candidate will be bilingual, demonstrating strong communication skills in at least two languages, enabling effective interaction with a diverse building occupant population.

This position requires physical endurance, as the Day Porter must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and lift weights ranging from 25 to 50 pounds regularly. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team is essential to maintain smooth building operations. This role plays a vital part in supporting the broader facility management team by ensuring that the facility environment promotes health, safety, and comfort for all occupants.
