The Day Porter - Customer Service Representative role at SBM Management Services is an integral position responsible mainly for the upkeep, cleanliness, and sanitation of assigned areas. Working a shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM with compensation at $15.00 per hour, this role requires individuals who are attentive to detail and possess a strong sense of responsibility to maintain the environment to the company’s standards. The Day Porter will perform janitorial duties, operate motorized cleaning equipment, and participate actively with team members to ensure all cleaning tasks are performed efficiently throughout the day. This position demands someone who can follow schedules diligently, report any incidents or hazardous conditions promptly to supervisors, and consistently apply safety policies and procedures to their work.
In addition to cleaning responsibilities, the Day Porter must demonstrate excellent communication skills, working professionally with colleagues, supervisors, management, and sometimes customers. The role occasionally requires filling in for colleagues during staff shortages, supporting shift leads in punch-list completions, and maintaining a professional appearance and conduct at all times. The successful candidate will have knowledge of cleaning compounds, equipment upkeep, and be willing to train and share their expertise with the team. Safety and efficiency are key, requiring the proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to established protocols.
