Job Description

Currently, SBM Management is seeking a Custodian/Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join their team. This role is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the facilities, ensuring an exceptional customer experience. The position involves a blend of custodial tasks and customer service, making it ideal for individuals who are dependable, hardworking, and possess strong interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for various cleaning and maintenance duties, along with supporting event setups and interacting positively with customers and coworkers. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $17.81 to $18.81 per hour and follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.

The Custodian/CSR role requires attention to detail and the ability to follow explicit oral and written instructions. Candidates must demonstrate good judgment in decision-making and be capable of explaining work methods and instructions when needed. The position also includes aiding in the training of others and showcasing proper custodial techniques. Daily responsibilities cover a variety of tasks such as floor care, surface dusting and sanitizing, waste removal, light maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and company protocols. Additionally, the role demands a professional appearance and demeanor while using personal protective equipment as appropriate.

Ideal candidates will have reliable transportation and possess a fundamental understanding of basic arithmetic, measurements, and communication skills. While a high school diploma is not mandatory, having some related experience or training is beneficial. The ability to read, write clearly, and communicate effectively with team members and customers is essential. Being bilingual is considered a plus but not a requirement. Job Qualifications

  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Less than high school education or up to one-month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read two to three syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers
  • Ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences
  • Effective communication skills with coworkers, supervisors, managers, and customers
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with tens and hundreds
  • Knowledge of American measurements of money, weight, size, length, shapes, distance, and volume
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle registration and insurance if driving personal or company vehicle
  • Bilingual skills are a plus not required

Job Duties

  • Perform floor care including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet spotting
  • Dust and sanitize surfaces including glass, mirrors, windows, metal and wood furniture, blinds, and draperies
  • Empty trash and recycle bins and transport waste to proper disposal areas
  • Replace light bulbs and restock supply cabinets and rooms
  • Comply with safety rules, company policies, and procedures
  • Work cooperatively with coworkers and respond to supervision
  • Use proper personal protective equipment and maintain a professional appearance
