SBM Management is currently seeking a dependable and hardworking Custodian/Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join their growing team. This is a regular full-time position offering competitive compensation in the range of $17.81 to $18.81 per hour. The Custodian/CSR will play a critical role in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and order within client facilities, ensuring that both the physical environment and customer interactions meet SBM’s high standards.

The role involves a variety of responsibilities, including floor care such as vacuuming, mopping, and carpet spotting; surface care duties like dusting, sanitizing, window and mirror cleaning, and polishing metal and wood surfaces; as well as waste removal and light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and restocking supplies. The Custodian/CSR must adhere strictly to safety rules, company policies, and operational procedures, demonstrating sound judgment with potential safety hazards and reporting systems.

A successful candidate will possess strong communication and teamwork skills, capable of coordinating effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and customers. The CSR must be able to understand and follow detailed oral and written instructions, explain job-related data, and aid in training peers when needed. This multifaceted role requires someone adaptable who can manage cleaning tasks between events, assist janitorial staff with restocking, maintain restrooms and break rooms, clean elevators and upholstered furniture, and organize janitorial closets. The position demands a professional appearance and conduct at all times, emphasizing SBM’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Candidates should have reliable transportation and possess a valid driver’s license if operating personal or company vehicles during business hours, along with proof of vehicle registration and insurance. While less than a high school education is acceptable with related experience or training, candidates should have basic literacy and numeracy skills suitable to perform job functions effectively. Bilingual abilities represent a plus but are not mandatory.

Working hours for this role are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, supporting a standard full-time schedule that promotes work-life balance.   • knowledge of American units of measurement such as money, weight, size, length, and volume
  • valid driver’s license if operating a vehicle for work
  • proof of vehicle registration and insurance
  • bilingualism is a plus but not required
