Currently, SBM Management is seeking a dependable and hardworking Custodian/Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join their growing team. This regular full-time position offers competitive hourly wages ranging from $16.00 to $16.10 per hour with a Monday to Friday schedule from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. The role is designed for individuals who take pride in delivering exceptional customer satisfaction through excellent custodial work and strong communication skills. The Custodian/CSR will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in assigned areas, performing floor care including vacuuming and mopping, surface care such as dusting and sanitizing, and proper waste removal. Additionally, this role requires light maintenance tasks like replacing light bulbs and restocking supply cabinets.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to follow written and oral instructions, communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and customers, and exhibit good judgment in various situations. The Custodian/CSR must also comply with all safety rules, policies, and procedures, use proper personal protective equipment, and present a professional appearance and conduct at all times. The role involves teamwork and may include aiding in training others, demonstrating work processes, and assisting janitorial staff with restocking restrooms and break rooms.

less than high school education or up to one-month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
ability to read 2-3 syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences
ability to communicate effectively with co-workers supervisors managers and customers
know how to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
know the American measures of money weight size length shapes distance and measures such as cups pints quarts gallons etc
required to have a valid driver's license if driving own vehicle or company vehicle on business time and have proof of vehicle registration and insurance
bilingual is a plus not required

Job Duties

floor care including vacuuming mopping and carpet spotting
surface care including dusting sanitizing glass mirror window cleaning metal wood polishing clean blinds and draperies
waste removal including emptying trash and recycle bins and transporting trash and waste to proper disposal areas
light maintenance such as replacing light bulbs and restocking supply cabinet or room
comply with safety rules policies and procedures including stopping at risk behavior of self and others
follow all protocols company procedures policies and rules
take direction and respond to supervision

understand reporting systems and the environment
transport small equipment tools chairs and tables straighten areas such as lobbies and conference rooms
pick up trash recycling and compost bins and transport to proper disposal areas
clean drop in desktops and assist janitorial staff with restocking restrooms and break rooms
damp mop floors and restroom cleaning
glass cleaning and restock and organize supplies in janitorial closets and storage areas
clean elevators spot clean upholstered furniture and carpets and dust open common spaces
