SBM Management is currently seeking a dedicated Custodian/Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join its team. This position requires hardworking and dependable individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer satisfaction while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. The role involves a blend of custodial duties and customer service responsibilities, emphasizing teamwork and effective communication with both coworkers and clients. A Custodian/CSR at SBM Management is expected to follow explicit oral and written instructions carefully, utilize good judgment in decision-making, and occasionally assist in training others by demonstrating proper work processes.
Working as a Custodian/CSR at SBM Management provides a unique opportunity to engage in a dynamic workplace that values every employee's contributions. This role offers regular part-time employment with a competitive hourly wage ranging from $13.00 to $14.00. The shift typically runs Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, providing employees with a reliable schedule conducive to work-life balance. Employees are expected to present themselves professionally, using appropriate personal protective equipment while strictly following the company’s safety rules, policies, and procedures.
The Custodian/CSR's key responsibilities include comprehensive floor care such as vacuuming, mopping, and carpet spotting; surface care tasks including dusting, sanitizing, and cleaning glass, mirrors, windows, and other surfaces; and waste management such as emptying trash and recycling bins and transporting waste to designated disposal areas. Light maintenance tasks, including replacing light bulbs and restocking supply cabinets, are also part of the routine duties. Additionally, the role requires assisting janitorial staff with restroom and break room upkeep, cleaning elevators, spot cleaning furniture and carpets, and organizing supplies in janitorial closets.
This position not only demands physical tasks but also excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with coworkers, supervisors, managers, and customers. The Custodian/CSR must be able to communicate clearly, understand and execute detailed instructions, and demonstrate a proactive approach to safety and cleanliness. Job Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation
- Less than high school education or up to one-month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education & experience
- Ability to read 2-3 syllable words
- Ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Knowledge of American measures of money, weight, size, length, shapes, and distance
- Valid driver's license if driving on business time
- Proof of vehicle registration and insurance if driving own or company vehicle
Job Qualifications

- Required to have a valid driver's license if driving own vehicle or company vehicle on business time, will also require proof of vehicle registration and insurance
- Bilingual is a plus, not required
Job Duties
- Floor care (vacuuming, mopping, carpet spotting)
- Surface care (dusting, sanitizing, glass/mirror/window cleaning, metal/wood polishing, clean blinds and draperies)
